You are currently browsing the archive for the youtube category.

It all started with “A million ways,” in 2006. That was just an amazing coreography, not many ideas but just a very simple, lo-fi dancing act. Millions of views. A perfect viral.

Then there was the treadmills video, “here it goes again”. Cool idea, cool realization.

Still, I always had the impression that Ok Go were too hyped, the usual Youtube shooting star with just one good idea.

I loved the latest video like “The incredible machine videogame” for “This too shall pass”

An Hypnotic loop, an amazing example of street art animation by Blu and David Ellis. Shot in an old house in Puglia, southern Italy, in a week total. Amazing job as usual, Blu a true artist. Chek out MUTO or his website for more. I wonder when this tecnique is gonna be picked up by advertisement.

Another beautiful commercial from Microsoft, this time for the upcoming new Halo ODST. A bit of Starship Troopers, a bit of Full Metal Jacket.

Probably the movie is never gonna be made, it sounded too expensive and risky. These live action battles and epic stories makes the decision regrettable.

Don’t know why, but Bing.com gave me so much traffic lately. Google didn’t. So here’s a way to repay for the visits: new Microsoft Bing commercial.

While Google never actually made a tv commercial, Microsoft always did, with different and not always incredible results. What about this one? well, nothing incredible, can create the right chaotic mood. Don’t like the use of images that much, sometimes it looks a bit like a Powerpoint presentation. And the engine at the end is too much straight forward.

I don’t know how this can be translated in something actually working in a videogame. But it looks amazing. Is next generation gaming already coming? The project was made thanks to Peter Molyneux’s cooperation. The future of videogaming or just another scam like Nintendo Power Glove?

Susan Boyle is back. This time starring in a one-minute teaser for the videogame “The Sims 3″, in stores on the 2nd of June. From “Britain got talent” to Youtube phenomenon, Susan is now also a star in The Sims world. She gets a call from Barak Obama, she is signing autographs, she is performing solo on stage. All made with the (not so good looking, I have to say) Sims graphics.
Good way of getting free advertisement even for non-gamers. Basically, free buzz.

Good luck Susan!
