
Time Magazine just published the 10 biggest technological flops of the last 10 years. Interesting how a lot of them were subject for a post here on this blog. YouTube, for example, and its money-eater technology (YouTube would have to triple its revenue just to breakeven) is in a very recent post (here). Let’s take a look at the chart:
Windows Vista, no surprise, is first. Then we have some obvious picks, like the 1 billion dollar burner HD-Dvd, Microsoft Zune (just a bit more than a million devices sold), Segway (what were they thinking?), and Iridium (satellite phones), one of the worse bankrupcy in US history. Funny how the most popular website in the world and the most common OS are, in fact, to be considered failures.
