Micheal Beasley, after this picture he put on Twitter to show off his new tattoo showed some hidden and suspicious plastic bags (Marijuana? Hash? pills?) in the background, was forced to get into a clinic for a rehab, officially for a depression. Beasley, 2nd overall pick of Miami Heat in the 2008 NBA Draft, is one of the most talented young kid in the game, still has to connect his head and to learn how to play just a little bit of defence. Weird how the guy was basically diagnosed on Twitter, after posting tweets such as: “Feelin like it’s not worth livin!!!!!!! I’m done.” and “Y do I feel like the whole world is against me…I can’t win for lose.”. Pretty psicho-drama queen, but I understand the kid. Being such a high draft pick puts a lot of pressure on you, and I don’t think putting 6 million dollars straigh in the hands of a 19 years old kid doesn’t help either. Good luck Mike.

Twitter is under attack. How important micro blogging and social networking has become

You can understand how social networks have become important when you rad online newspapers and that’s the hot news. Twitter is under siege, Twitter is vulnerable. Looks like a “denial service attack” to make it blow.

If this is not THE attack (reminds me of Die Hard 4. Start with Twitter, then the World), it’s another confirmation of how Twitter has changed the perspective. More than Facebook, it seems that the role Twitter has right now has grown incredibly.

This attack made them (the traditional media) realize how old they are, how important Twitter is. And that, for Twitter, is the best thing that could happen.

Charlie Frost and 2012

Great viral for 2012 the movie, another catastrophic joint by Roland Emmerich. Woody Harrelson here is playing the crazy “I told you” guy every movie of this kind should have. Nice how Twitter has been integrated, aswell with a website, ThisIsTheEnd.com. And incredible how people still believe all this Maya calendar bullshit.

Compliments to Emmerich for exploiting the conspiracy and creating a nice viral concept.
